Hospital patients have ranked Stoughton Hospital as having the cleanest patient rooms in the state. From the most recent reporting period of April 2014 through March 2015, 91% of Stoughton Hospital patients reported their room and bathroom were “always” clean.
This data is collected through HCAHPS surveys, a national, standardized, publicly reported survey of patients’ perspectives of hospital care. Wisconsin’s average rate for patients reporting their room and bathroom were “always” clean is 80 percent. The national average is 74 percent.
Environmental Services Manager, Angela Rowin-Tippit shares, “I am very proud of our environmental services staff. They work very hard to ensure patients have the cleanest rooms and bathrooms possible.” The cleanliness of the patient rooms and bathrooms also helps with infection prevention and the quality and safety of care patients receive.
