Stoughton Hospital is pleased to announce it has been named a Guardian of Excellence Award® recipient by Press Ganey for a second year in a row. The Guardian of Excellence Award recognizes top-performing health care organizations that have consistently achieved the 95th percentile or above in Employee Engagement.
The Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award is a nationally-recognized symbol of achievement in health care. Presented annually, the award honors clients who consistently sustained performance in the top 5% of all Press Ganey clients for each reporting period during the course of one year.
Stoughton Hospital administration attributes the hospital’s overall success to its Excellence Together Program implemented 10 years ago. Excellence Together engages all employees and sets standards in the areas of Attitude, Accountability, Appearance, Communication, Teamwork and Service. “Our employees know that each person is an important part of the Stoughton Hospital team. No matter your role at the hospital, if a patient or visitor needs help, you do all you can to assist,” states Amy Hermes, Associate Vice President of Patient Services and Excellence Together Leader. “This has created a culture of teamwork and accountability. Employees take pride in being a part of our hospital.”
According to Hermes, the award represents an important recognition from the industry’s leader in measuring, understanding and improving the patient experience.
